("The Mosel / Moselle river festival in Winningen near Koblenz / Coblence is the biggest vine dresser festival on the below Mosel / Moselle. With its long tradition, it's also known as the one of the oldest wine festivals in Germany. The ten-day folk festival starts on the last Friday in August and ends on Sunday in the following week. A firework display starts at 6:30 p.m. from the passenger boat from Koblenz / Coblence. Music and dancing tune in to the splendid spectacle. A magical, beautiful atmosphere spreads out, when in front of the Mosel / Moselle river mountains, a wonderful scenery of pictures develop, which the exploding fireworks draw in the night sky and light up the Mosel / Moselle river gorge in such brightness, that a bengal illumination such as in the events of the "Rhine river in flames" / "Rhine river aflame" won't be missed. But the firework doesn't only offer something for the eyes, but also for the ears, because the already loud bangs of the firecrackers are even louder in the Mosl / Moselle river gorge. This rocket builds a prelude to a firework display of the superlative. One after the other, four firework displays begin from the castle Katz (cat) near St. Goarshausen, from the head of the harbor in St. Goar, from the castle Rheinfels (biggest castle ruin in the Rhineland) near St. Goar and from a ferry. In front of the non-reappearing scenery, the fireworks draw exploding pictures in the nightly sky above the romantic Rhine river valley gorge with its steep hills, the illuminated towns and the brightly lighted castles. During this show, many a visitors feel a cold shower run down their back. The fireworks are also an acoustically impressable experience. On the rock hills the explosion sounds of the firecrackers and rockets re-echo several times. In a more contemplative programm, the firework displays show themselves in especially hot and dry years. Because of fire danger, the fireworks can only be ignited from the ferry.") 0179 250 6757(Inside Germany)/+49 179 250 6757(Outside Germany)
Sep. 25, Sat. Boppard GERMANY "Glowing Night on the Middle Rhine river" Fireworks. Rhine river banks near Filsen, 9p. ("The first wine festival takes place on the third weekend in September from Friday to Monday and the second wine festival on the following weekend, the fourth September weekend from Friday to Sunday. A highlight on both festivals is the firework display on both Saturdays. Even though the fireworks under the motto "Lightning night on the middle Rhine river" don't belong to the events of "Rhine in flames" / "Rhine aflame", they still attract thousands of visitors every year. Both of the firework displays will be ignited on both Saturdays, each one at about 9:00 p.m. from the opposite side of the Rhine river banks near Filsen. During each of the approximately 10 to 15 minutes of continuous fire work spectacle, the narrow Rhine river valley gorge near Boppard turns into a lighted sea. Star explosion, lightning bombs and other exploding firework displays draw pretty, magical pictures in the nightly skies. The hills which border the Rhine river let the firework noise of the firecrackers and the rockets echo even louder. The firework cascades, which plunge into the Rhine river from the opposite side of Boppard, build the crowing end of the pyrotechnic show. This is how the "Lightning night on the middle Rhine river" is an enjoyment of the special kind for the eyes and the ears, which can only be experienced in few regions in Germany.") 0179 250 6757(Inside Germany)/+49 179 250 6757(Outside Germany)
